To be considered for participation a student must:
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0.
- Maintain good academic standing and satisfactory academic progress.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits hours.
By acceptance of the work-study, the student must adhere to the following standards:
- Punctuality
- Confidentiality
- Positive working attitude
- Contribution to work-study position
- Regular attendance
In addition, the student must adhere to the following:
- Work-study students cannot be paid for hours not worked.
- The student must sign in and out according to the policy of each department.
- The student is not allowed to exceed the maximum hours on the work study contract.
- The student must abide by all established institutional and office policies and procedures.
To maintain a work study position the student must:
- Maintain enrollment of a minimum of 12 credits hours
- Satisfactorily perform the duties and obligations of the position (assessed monthly).
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress (probationary status may be grounds for the reduction or elimination of work-study award.)
Payroll will be paid monthly, and time sheets must be filled completely including the signatures of the student and the supervisor.
Positions are renewable annually. Department determines length of the position, not to exceed an academic year.
Students may only hold one (1) work-study position at the time. While you are free to change positions, you must first resign from your current position before starting work at another position.
Time sheets must be submitted at the end of every month with student assessment completed and signed.
